We followed the call to order with the introduction of the board, staff & members. Ending with a tribute to William Briner our founder by Tim Schroeder and William Bates.
2. ADDITIONS/DELETIONS TO AGENDA: None
3. PUBLIC COMMENT: It was brought up that the project at the end of Silver Tip was using water from our hydrants and not being metered. It was brought up that the conservancy will be taking care of tree removal on their properties. The staff, members and volunteers were thanked for their great work.
4. ADMINISTRATIVE ITEMS: Year End Financial Report – The district is running in the black and has very healthy reserves.
5. NEW BUSINESS: Two new board members were introduced, Jon Jochem and Kristie Anderson. They will be replacing Kym Pipkin and Tim Schroeder at the end of the year.
6. OLD BUSINESS: Past Year & Upcoming Improvements – Our final backup generator was installed and is now operational down at the well pump facility. Now we have the capability to have continuous water pressure during power outages.
The water tank(s) telemetry issues are an ongoing problem. The AT&T phone lines are constantly failing, causing the water pumps to not know when the tanks are full. We will be testing radio communication this fall as a solution.
7. WATER MANAGER’S REPORT: We had a biofilm scare from snow run off in our Skyline tank. Chlorine was added to our water system and then flushed. After follow up testing the tanks and water were back to normal.
EPA is requiring all water companies throughout the US report on any lead pipes in the system. Rick has reviewed pictures taken from 2010-11 when he installed the water meters at each of the service locations and can determine if we have any lead piping in the ground.
8. SNOW REMOVAL REPORT: Status on our 3 pieces of equipment was that they are in good shape for the winter season. A new snow blower attachment was discussed.
9. ADJOURNMENT – Meeting was adjourned at 10:23am
The site for this meeting is wheelchair accessible.
